It’s been commission by Mr. Hisao Ito, chairman from Japan Mandolin Union and first performed by Gifu Mandolin Orchestra. In order to celebrate this anniversary, Hiro wanted to respect its roots where mainline came from, and tried to show gratitude in this music, so that he titled it “Viva! Mandolin” before composing. In this music, Hiro tried to deliver the full potential of its characteristic which are picking and tremolo method. (82 pages incl. front page and instruction) Two parts of flutes has been added on to the original. Only 1st Flute can be acceptable on your choice. This music was originally composed for ”National Cultural Festival/Japanese Music” in Gifu-prefecture, Japan in 1999. It was a music for total 100 players of Japanese traditional instruments such as Koto(Japanese harp), a shakuhachi (a vertical bamboo flute), shamisen(Japanese guitar), 17-string Koto, and first performed at the festival and directed by Hiro Fujikake. Firstly, the title of “Green-scope” came up in his mind and the word brought him an imagination of beautiful mountains and reflection of greenery on a river surface. Once his image of the music was settled, the lest of creation went smoothly. The performance was received highly reputation and requested to rewrite for mandolin orchestra. The sound is exotic and dramatically showing excitement in a melody line, which bring audience in an Asian fantasy world." 山河緑照（フルート加筆版）(038B) スコア・パート譜セット 編成:マンドリン×2、マンドラ、マンドロンチェロ、ギター、コントラバス、打楽器、フルートX２ 難易度【中級★★★】 演奏時間:11分 (全82ページ：表紙と説明書含む) フルートが２パート加筆されています。 フルートが１本の場合は、１st Flute のみで演奏する事も可能です。 原曲は、1999年岐阜県で行われた「国民文化祭／邦楽の祭典」の為に、琴、尺八、三味線、十七絃による計100名の邦楽合奏の為に作曲、作曲者の指揮により初演されました。山々の緑が川の水面に美しく照り映える……というイメージのタイトルが、まず最初に出来上がりメインテーマが湧き上がってくると、作曲はスムーズにはかどっていきました。大好評だったこの原曲をもとにマンドリンオーケストラの機能を生かすように書き直したものが、この作品です。

(71 pages incl. front page and instruction) With requests, rewrote these suites without songs. You can play as a suite or select any music. This was the first music worked with Masaji Chujyo, a poet. We selected 8 ballads from his collection of poems, titled ” Bottoms of pavement”. Each poem has fairy tale stories and that lead us to the wonderland. Hiro attracted by the stories and enjoyed composing it. バラード第一組曲 (041) スコア・パート譜セット 編成:マンドリン×2、マンドラ、マンドロンチェロ、ギター、コントラバス、打楽器 難易度【中級★★★】 演奏時間:18分 (全71ページ：表紙と説明書含む) マンドリン・オーケストラのみ・歌無しで演奏出来る組曲・第一番 １・プロローグ　２・青いへちま　３・蛙と望遠鏡　４・木馬　５・からす 「八つのバラード」を歌なしで演奏したい、という要望に応えて書き直しました。組曲として演奏しても良いし、1曲ずつ、抜粋してもお楽しみ頂けます。詩人の中条雅二先生といろいろお話して、一諸に作品を作っていこうという話になり、最初に手がけたのが、この作品です。詩集「舗道のボタン」の中より、八つのバラード詩を選んで、組み合わせ、かなり自由な扱い方で、全体をまとめました。童詩と名付けられた、それぞれの詩は、とても楽しいメルヒェンの世界を形作っており、自由な夢のある、おはなしの世界へ我々を導びいてくれます。この童詩の世界にとても心ひかれ楽しく作曲を進めることができました。

Pastoral Fantasy (066) Revised in 2004
Set: Score + Parts 1st Mandolin, 2nd Mandolin, Mandola, Guitar, Mand Cello,Double Bass, Level: ★★★★ Duration: 14min. (85 pages incl. front page and instruction) The most well performed piece. It was the second work for Hiro to compose a mandolin orchestra, the work was composing during June to July, 1975 and was first performed by Tokai Student Mandolin Association in August. The inspiration of this music came from fresh greenary in early summer. The title of “Pastoral Fantasy” is based on the image of pastoral scenery and it consists the theme of the music. The following is the construction of the music. 1. Initial pastoral andante 2. Introduction of fugue, develop freely
3. Recreation of touching pastoral theme
4. Powerful coda Please do not stick with interpretation of the music, just feel the sounds, as you like. It would be great pleasure for the composer if this music means something to those who play or listen to it. パストラル·ファンタジー (066)　2004年改訂版 スコア・パート譜セット 編成:マンドリン×2、マンドラ、マンドロンチェロ、ギター、コントラバス 難易度【上級★★★★】 演奏時間:14分 (全85 ページ：表紙と説明書含む) この作品は、藤掛廣幸マンドリン第二作目の作品で、1975年6月から7月にかけて作曲、東海学生マンドリン連盟のコンサートで8月に初演されました。作曲中には、イメージの中に、初夏のみずみずしい新緑がありました。曲名の由来は、牧歌的な第一部のテーマがこの曲の抒情の核となっている為です。自由に聞いて下されば良いのですが、全体の構成等は、 １＃最初の牧歌的なアンダンテ、
２＃フーガに始まり自在に展開していく第二部、
３＃そしてパストラルテーマの感動的な再現を経て、
４＃力強いコーダへと流れ込んで行きます。 しかし、この曲は、それらには関係なく、演奏する人、聴く人がそれぞれ自由なファンタジーをふくらませてゆけばよいのであって、何らか、精神的に豊かなものを、聞く人にもたらすようなことがあれば、作曲者にとっては最大の喜びです。
