It’s been commissioned by Gifu University and first performed by their mandolin club. Serenade is always referring to love songs singing by the window, this music was also written by the same approach like Mozart and Tchaikovsky. Some of melodies are selected from numerous numbers of music which were used for TV programs as well as movies. During the process of the reconstruction of the music, the image and scene was not the key consern, but individual melodies are the center of the work. It’s been reborn as a mandolin orchestra. Since the variation of motif has been uniformed in this music, you can enjoy harmonised sound although there is no accurate or detailed formation like symphonic orchestra.

岐阜大学マンドリンクラブにより委嘱、初演されました。セレナーデはもともと「恋人の窓辺で歌う愛の歌」のことですが、このセレナーデシリーズはモーツアルトやチャイコフスキーのセレナーデのように気楽な場で演奏される音楽作品を目指したものです。映画やテレビ等の為に作曲した沢山の音楽の中から、作曲者のとても気に入ったメロディーを即物的に選び出して映像やシーンと関係なく独立したマンドリンオーケストラの為の音楽として楽しめるように新たに作曲し直したものです。交響曲のような緻密、有機的な構成ではありませんが、モティーフの変奏により全体が統一されています。
