This is based on the poem “Since We Do Not Live Twice” written by Japanese famous “prayer poet”, Shinmin Sakamura. Firstly, Hiro was offered to write a music for this poem by a one of Shinmin Sakamura’s fans, and this was how Hiro met Shinmin. It was a fateful encounter and as soon as Hiro read the poem, a melody came out instantly from the bottom of his heart. Hiro wishes to let more people know Shinmin Sakamura’s belief and recomposed for Mandolin orchestra.

「この詩に作曲して下さい」と詩集を持って来たのは先生のファンの方でした。自然に浮かんで来たメロディを書き留め、テープに歌を録音してお渡ししたのが、坂村真民さんとの出会いのはじまりでした。この詩の中に「出会いの不思議」という言葉がありますが、まさにそんな気がします。
